Project objective:
The project contributes to building scientific and administrative expertise at UNAM to analyse locally available natural resources and to lay the foundations for the establishment of an institute of materials science from existing structures. This will be achieved by building up competences for the analysis of locally available natural resources (focus of activities), for the development of further education and qualification offers in the department of materials science, for the institutional and organisational development of a future institute and for the identification of necessary infrastructure and funding opportunities as well as for international networking.
