Renewable Energies in Uganda - Technology Transfer
Primary tabs
Uganda's electrification rate is one of the lowest in Africa. The use of renewable energies and the formation of cooperatives are sustainable options, especially decentralised and cooperatively organised off-grid solutions that utilise the potential of renewable energy sources. Based on this, projects can be planned and implemented, thus accelerating the electrification of rural areas. However, the experts and managers in Uganda lack the necessary know-how. This is where the project comes in and aims to ensure that experts and managers from the energy sector in Uganda have the necessary knowledge to introduce solar off-grid solutions and energy-efficient applications.
