Qualification of Ethiopian decision-makers and vocational training specialists in the fields of automation and electrical engineering
Primary tabs
Ethiopia is one of the fastest growing economies on the African continent, yet the country has low productivity, which is partly due to the low level of education of the workforce. Less than 50% of the urban labour force has a formal education. One of the core problems is the lack of practical and didactic competence of teaching staff and in-house trainers. Especially in industry-related occupational fields, there is a lack of sufficiently qualified teaching staff to advance the desired economic transformation process in Ethiopia. The BLP project therefore aims to strengthen the competences of Ethiopian VET actors in the fields of automation and electrical engineering as well as in school management.
