Problem:
Viet Nam is particularly affected by the effects of climate change. Rapid economic growth and the associated high consumption of fossil fuels and raw materials have contributed significantly to this. The main sectors for economic growth include
The main sectors for economic growth include mechanical engineering/steel construction and the electrical industry, which are characterised in particular by energy intensity and a high level of resources consumed. Since 2012, Viet Nam has been implementing a reform process as part of its "Vietnamese Green Growth Strategy" to
towards a more sustainable, ecological economy. Accordingly, vocational training geared towards the requirements of the economy is of central importance.
Over the past twenty years, the technical cooperation project "Programme Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Viet Nam" has worked with selected vocational schools in various departments. Programme are to be prepared for the structural changes in the Vietnamese economy and the increasing requirement for qualified experts. In view of its long-standing partnership with Viet Nam and its state-funded training centre for vocational school teachers from developing and emerging countries, the Hessian State Agency for Technology Training (HLFT), the state of Hesse can make an important contribution to this through accompanying training measures.

Project objective:
Human Relations from selected vocational schools and in-company trainers have the technical, methodological and managerial skills to implement the needs-based training of a qualified workforce in selected "green professions", building on the experience gained in the German dual system.

Measures/methodological implementation:
The following measures are planned in the project:
- Further training of multipliers/vocational school teachers in selected environmental technology topics,
- Further training of multipliers/vocational school teachers in selected topics of electrical engineering and automation technology,
- Further training on the topic of "modern school management" for the administration of the partner vocational schools.

Target groups:
The target group of the measure is primarily the teachers of the selected vocational schools and - as far as possible - in-company trainers from partner companies. In addition, the management of the vocational training institutes is addressed, which will be responsible for the organisational
organisational prerequisites for training geared towards the requirements of the economy in the selected institutions.

Partner structure:
Selected Vietnamese vocational schools and companies are involved as partners via the technical cooperation project in Viet Nam and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs (MoLISA), which is responsible for vocational training. The main implementing partner in Hesse is the HLFT. Other partners are the Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Hessian Ministry of Culture (HKM) and the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Regional Development (HMWEVL).
