Qualification / Upgrading of the Tamale Technical University in Ghana
Onglets principaux
Due to the economic upswing in Ghana, there is an imbalance between the content of courses and the actual needs of local business in terms of training and qualification. To enable more practice-based focus of the training provided, the Ghanaian government has transformed the Tamale Technical University (TaTU) from university to technical university following the German model.
In partnership with the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences (WHS), efforts to network with the local business are being bolstered, thereby capitalising on the successes of the German Government and Federal States Pilot Programme. In addition, WHS is advising TaTU on how to modernise study programmes in terms of developing curricula, embracing digitisation and adopting practice-based approaches.
